Almere City FC is a Dutch football club from Almere in Flevoland, founded in 2001 as FC Omniworld and renamed in 2010. It plays at the Yanmar Stadion, a compact ground of 4,501 places, and competes in the Eerste Divisie after relegation from the Eredivisie in 2024/25. The club reached the top flight for the first time in 2023, less than a quarter of a century after its founding, which makes it one of the youngest clubs ever to do so in the Netherlands. It plays in red and black and is nicknamed De Zwarte Schapen, the Black Sheep.
