1. FC Heidenheim 1846 is a German football club from Heidenheim an der Brenz in Baden-Württemberg. Its parent sports society dates from 1846 and the football club in its present form from 1972. It plays at the Voith-Arena, a ground of about 15,000 places on a hillside above the town, and competes in the Bundesliga, which it reached for the first time in 2023. It plays in red and blue. Frank Schmidt has managed the club since 2007, by some distance the longest tenure in German professional football.
