FC Barcelona is a Spanish football club from Barcelona in Catalonia, founded on 29 November 1899 by a group of Swiss, Catalan, German and English players around Joan Gamper. It plays at the Spotify Camp Nou and competes in La Liga. Barcelona have won the Spanish championship more than twenty-five times, the Copa del Rey a record number of times and the European Cup five times, and completed the treble in 2009 and 2015. The club is owned by its members, is nicknamed Barça and the Blaugrana, and carries the motto Més que un club, more than a club.
