Étoile Carouge FC is a Swiss football club from Carouge, a town on the southern edge of Geneva, founded on 1 July 1904. It plays at the Stade de la Fontenette, a compact ground of about 3,690 places beside the Arve, and competes in the Challenge League, the Swiss second tier. The club had several spells in the top flight during the 1980s and 1990s and returned to national level after promotion in 2024. Its red and black colours and its role as the second club of the Geneva area give it a following of its own. Its youth section has supplied players to Servette and to clubs across the French border.
