Winn-Dixie is an American supermarket chain trading in the southeastern United States, with its head office in Jacksonville, Florida. Its stores carry bakery, dairy, delicatessen, frozen foods, general grocery, meat, produce, seafood and liquor departments. The business goes back to a grocery shop opened by the Davis family in 1925 and took the Winn-Dixie name in the 1950s after a merger with the Dixie Home Stores chain. Aldi bought the company, together with the Harveys chain, in 2024.
