KPN, formally Koninklijke KPN N.V., is a Dutch telecommunications company based in Rotterdam. It grew out of the state run postal, telegraph and telephone service and was turned into a company on 1 January 1989. KPN offers fixed and mobile telephony, internet access, digital terrestrial television, IPTV and IT services to consumers and businesses. Its shares are listed on Euronext Amsterdam and Joost Farwerck is chief executive.
