Portsmouth Football Club is an English club from Portsmouth in Hampshire, founded in 1898. It plays at Fratton Park, a ground of 20,867 places, and competes in the Championship. The club won the league in 1949 and 1950 and the FA Cup in 1939 and 2008, and then fell through all four divisions after two administrations. It plays in blue and is nicknamed Pompey. Since 2013 it has spent a period under supporter ownership, at the time the largest such club in England.
