Swansea City AFC is a Welsh club from Swansea that plays in the English league system, founded in 1912 as Swansea Town. It plays at the Swansea.com Stadium, a ground of about 21,000 places, and competes in the Championship. The club reached the Premier League in 2011 and won the League Cup in 2013, its first major English trophy, which took it into the Europa League. It plays in white and is nicknamed the Swans. Its rivalry with Cardiff City is the South Wales derby.
