Valencia CF is a Spanish football club from Valencia, founded on 18 March 1919. It plays at the Mestalla, a ground of 49,430 places, and competes in La Liga. Valencia have won the Spanish championship six times, the Copa del Rey eight times and the UEFA Cup twice, and reached the Champions League final in 2000 and 2001. It plays in white and is nicknamed Los Murciélagos, the Bats, after the bat in the city's coat of arms.
