Dundee United Football Club is a Scottish club from Dundee, founded on 24 May 1909 as Dundee Hibernian and renamed in 1923. It plays at Tannadice Park and competes in the Premiership. Under Jim McLean the club won the Scottish league in 1983 and reached the UEFA Cup final in 1987, and it has won the Scottish Cup twice. It plays in tangerine and black, is nicknamed the Terrors, and its supporters are known as Arabs, after a sand-covered pitch in a frozen winter.
