West Bromwich Albion FC is an English club from West Bromwich in the West Midlands, founded in 1878 and one of the twelve founder members of the Football League. It plays at The Hawthorns, a ground of about 26,800 places, and competes in the Championship. The club won the league in 1920 and the FA Cup five times. It plays in navy and white stripes and is nicknamed the Baggies. Its 1978 side was among the first in England built around Black players.
