Atalanta, in full Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, is an Italian football club from Bergamo in Lombardy, founded in 1907 and named after the huntress of Greek myth. It plays at the Gewiss Stadium, a ground of about 23,400 places, and competes in Serie A. The club won the Coppa Italia in 1963 and the Europa League in 2024, beating Bayer Leverkusen in the final, and has become a regular in European competition. It plays in black and blue stripes and is nicknamed La Dea, the Goddess. Its youth academy is among the most productive in Italy.
