Piast Gliwice is a Polish football club from Gliwice in Silesia, founded on 18 June 1945. It plays at the Piotr Wieczorek Stadium, a ground of 9,913 places, and competes in the Ekstraklasa. The club won its only Polish championship in 2019 and finished runner-up in 2016. It plays in blue and red. Piast is the name of the first Polish royal dynasty, whose castle stands in the town.
