FC Lugano is a Swiss football club from Lugano in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, founded in 1908 and refounded in 2004 after financial collapse. It plays at the AIL Arena, a ground of 8,093 places, and competes in the Super League. The club won three Swiss championships, the last in 1949, and the Swiss Cup three times, most recently in 2022. It plays in black and white and is known as I Bianconeri. Lugano is the only club from Ticino to have established itself in the modern Swiss top flight.
