The Portland Timbers are an American soccer club from Portland, Oregon, founded on 20 March 2009 and playing in Major League Soccer since 2011. They play at Providence Park, a ground of 25,218 places in the middle of the city, and compete in the Western Conference. The Timbers won MLS Cup in 2015 and the Supporters' Shield in 2013. They play in green and gold. Their Timbers Army supporters' section and the chainsaw-wielding mascot Timber Joey are among the best known sights in American soccer.
