US Avellino 1912 is an Italian football club from Avellino in Campania, founded in 1912 and refounded several times since. It plays at the Stadio Partenio-Adriano Lombardi, a ground of about 26,000 places, and competes in Serie B. The club spent ten consecutive seasons in Serie A between 1978 and 1988. It plays in green and white and is nicknamed I Lupi, the Wolves, after the wolves of the Irpinia hills around the town.
