UTA Arad is a Romanian football club from Arad in the west of the country, founded on 18 April 1945 as the team of a textile factory. It plays at the Stadionul Francisc von Neuman, a ground of 11,500 places, and competes in Liga I. The club won six Romanian championships between 1947 and 1970 and knocked Feyenoord out of the European Cup in 1970. It plays in red and white and is nicknamed Bătrâna Doamnă, the Old Lady.
