Albacete Balompié is a Spanish football club from Albacete in Castile-La Mancha, founded on 1 June 1939 as Albacete Foot-ball Association. It plays at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte, a ground of 17,524 places, and competes in the Segunda División, the second tier of Spanish football. The club spent seven seasons in La Liga, most of them in the 1990s under Benito Floro, when the press dubbed the side Queso Mecánico, the Clockwork Cheese, after the region's manchego. It plays in white with a blue trim.
