Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club is an English club from Brighton and Hove in East Sussex, founded on 24 June 1901. It plays at the Amex Stadium in Falmer, a ground of about 32,000 places opened in 2011, and competes in the Premier League. The club reached the FA Cup final in 1983, spent years in the lower divisions and at one point played home matches 70 miles away after losing its ground, then returned to the top flight in 2017 and qualified for Europe in 2023. It plays in blue and white stripes and is nicknamed the Seagulls.
