1. FC Kaiserslautern is a German football club from Kaiserslautern in the Palatinate, founded on 2 June 1900. It plays at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion on the Betzenberg, a ground of 49,327 places, and competes in the German league. The club won four German championships, including 1998 as a newly promoted side, and the DFB-Pokal twice. It plays in red and white and is nicknamed Die Roten Teufel, the Red Devils. Fritz Walter, the 1954 World Cup winning captain, played his whole career here.
