Neuchâtel Xamax is a Swiss football club from Neuchâtel, formed in 1970 out of a merger and refounded in 2012 after bankruptcy. It plays at the Stade de la Maladière, a ground of 12,000 places, and competes in the Swiss league. The club won the Swiss championship in 1987 and 1988 under Gilbert Gress and beat Real Madrid and Bayern in European competition. It plays in red and black.
