About Sparta Rotterdam

Sparta Rotterdam is a Dutch football club from Rotterdam, founded on 1 April 1888 and the oldest professional club in the Netherlands. It plays at Het Kasteel, a ground of about 11,000 places whose castle-like facade gives it its name, and competes in the Eredivisie. The club won six national championships, all before 1960, and the KNVB Cup three times. It plays in red and white and is nicknamed De Kasteelheren, the Castle Lords. It is the third club of a city dominated by Feyenoord.
