Lyn 1896 FK is a Norwegian football club from Oslo, founded on 3 March 1896 as part of a sports society that also has Nordic skiing and orienteering sections. It plays at the Bislett Stadium and competes in the lower national divisions. The old professional side won two Norwegian championships and eight cup titles before going bankrupt in 2010, after which the amateur department carried the name onward. It plays in red and white. Lyn means lightning, and the club is one of the oldest in the capital.
