Real Oviedo is a Spanish football club from Oviedo in Asturias, founded on 26 March 1926. It plays at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, a ground of about 30,000 places opened in 2000, and competes in the Spanish league. The club spent 38 seasons in La Liga before financial collapse dropped it to the third division in 2003; a public share issue in 2012, joined by supporters around the world, kept it alive. It plays in blue and is nicknamed Los Carbayones.
