1. FSV Mainz 05 is a German football club from Mainz in Rhineland-Palatinate, founded on 16 March 1905. It plays at the MEWA Arena, a ground of 33,305 places, and competes in the Bundesliga. The club waited almost a century to reach the top flight, arriving in 2004, and has since become a regular there and in Europe. It plays in red and white and is nicknamed Die Nullfünfer. Both Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel began their coaching careers here.
