Hertha BSC is a German football club from Berlin, founded on 25 July 1892 and named after a steamship. It plays at the Olympiastadion, a ground of 74,475 places, and competes in the 2. Bundesliga after relegation in 2023. The club won the German championship in 1930 and 1931 and reached the DFB-Pokal final several times. It plays in blue and white and is nicknamed Die Alte Dame, the Old Lady. Its rivalry with Union Berlin, once separated by the Wall, has become one of the sharpest in German football.
