CS Universitatea Craiova is a Romanian football club from Craiova in Oltenia, refounded in 2013 in the line of the club founded in 1948. It plays at the Stadionul Ion Oblemenco, a ground of 31,000 places opened in 2017, and competes in Liga I. The original side won four championships and reached the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 1983, a run that made it famous across Europe. It plays in white and blue and is nicknamed Leii din Bănie, the Lions of Bănie.
