FC Winterthur is a Swiss football club from Winterthur in the canton of Zürich, founded in 1896. It plays at the Schützenwiese, a ground of about 8,500 places and one of the last in the Swiss top flight with large standing terraces, and competes in the Super League. The club won three Swiss championships, all before 1917, and returned to the top division in 2022 after 37 years away. It plays in red and white. Its ground is known locally as the Schützi.
