Aarhus Fremad is a Danish football club from the northern part of Aarhus, founded in 1897 as a general sports club, with its football department dating from 1947. It plays at Riisvangen Stadium, a ground of about 6,000 places, and competes in the 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football. The club rose through nine promotions in thirteen seasons to reach the Superliga in 1997. Its blue and white colours and its position as the city's second club give it a following of its own alongside AGF. It runs a broad youth section and is a fixture of semi-professional football in East Jutland.
