ACF Fiorentina is an Italian football club from Florence in Tuscany, founded in 1926 and refounded in 2002 after bankruptcy. It plays at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, a ground of about 43,100 places and a landmark of 1930s engineering, and competes in Serie A. The club won the Italian championship in 1956 and 1969, the Coppa Italia six times and the Cup Winners' Cup in 1961. It plays in purple and is nicknamed La Viola.
