AIK, in full Allmänna Idrottsklubben, is a Swedish sports club from Stockholm, founded on 15 February 1891 and the largest club in Scandinavia by membership. Its football side plays at Strawberry Arena in Solna, a ground of about 50,000 places, and competes in Allsvenskan. AIK has won twelve Swedish championships and eight Swedish Cups, and reached the Champions League group stage in 1999. It plays in black and yellow and is known as Gnaget. The club also runs sections for bandy, handball, ice hockey and other sports.
