FC Argeș Pitești is a Romanian football club from Pitești in Argeș County, originally founded in 1953 as Dinamo Pitești and refounded under its present ownership after the older club folded. It plays at the Stadionul Nicolae Dobrin, a ground of about 5,900 places named after the club's most famous player, and competes in Liga I. The original club won the Romanian championship twice, in 1972 and 1979, and played in the European Cup. It plays in violet and white and is nicknamed the Violets.
