Atlético Madrid, in full Club Atlético de Madrid, is a Spanish football club from Madrid, founded on 26 April 1903 as a Madrid branch of Athletic Bilbao. It plays at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, a ground of 70,692 places, and competes in La Liga. The club has won eleven Spanish championships, eleven Copas del Rey, three Europa Leagues and the Cup Winners' Cup, and reached the Champions League final three times. It plays in red and white stripes and is nicknamed Los Colchoneros, the Mattress Makers, after the striped ticking of old mattresses.
