The Celtic Football Club is a Scottish club from the east end of Glasgow, founded on 6 November 1887 by a Marist brother to raise money for poor Irish immigrants in the city. It plays at Celtic Park, the largest club ground in Scotland, and competes in the Premiership. Celtic have won more than fifty league titles and in 1967 became the first British club to win the European Cup, with a team drawn almost entirely from within thirty miles of Glasgow. It plays in green and white hoops. Its meetings with Rangers are the Old Firm.
