Chicago Fire FC is an American soccer club from Chicago, Illinois, founded on 8 October 1997, on the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire. It plays at Soldier Field, shared with the city's NFL team, and competes in Major League Soccer. The Fire won MLS Cup and the US Open Cup in their first season, in 1998, and took the Open Cup three more times. They play in red and blue. The club spent a decade in the suburbs at Bridgeview before returning to the lakefront stadium in 2020.
