Córdoba CF is a Spanish football club from Córdoba in Andalusia, founded in 1954. It plays at the Estadio Nuevo Arcángel, a ground of about 25,800 places beside the Guadalquivir, and competes in the Segunda División. The club spent nine seasons in La Liga, the last of them in 2014/15, and dropped as far as the third tier before climbing back. It plays in white and green and is nicknamed Los Califas, the Caliphs, after the city's history as the seat of the Caliphate of Córdoba.
