Legia Warszawa is a Polish football club from Warsaw, founded on 14 March 1916 among soldiers of the Polish Legions. It plays at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego, a ground of 31,103 places, and competes in the Ekstraklasa. Legia is the most successful Polish club, with more than fifteen championships and twenty cups, and it reached the European Cup semi-finals in 1970 and 1991. It plays in white, red and green and is nicknamed Wojskowi, the military men.
