Moreirense FC is a Portuguese football club from Moreira de Cónegos in the municipality of Guimarães, founded on 1 November 1938. It plays at the Parque de Jogos Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, a ground of 6,150 places, and competes in the Primeira Liga. The club won the Taça da Liga in 2017, beating Sporting in the final, its only major trophy. It plays in green and white. Moreira de Cónegos is a parish of a few thousand people, which makes that cup win exceptional.
