Nottingham Forest Football Club is an English club from West Bridgford near Nottingham, founded in 1865 and one of the oldest professional clubs in the world. It plays at the City Ground on the bank of the Trent, a ground of about 30,400 places, and competes in the Premier League. Under Brian Clough the club won the league in 1978 and the European Cup in 1979 and 1980, an achievement without parallel for a club of its size. It plays in red and is nicknamed the Tricky Trees.
