Racing de Santander is a Spanish football club from Santander in Cantabria, founded on 23 February 1913. It plays at El Sardinero, a ground of 22,222 places near the beach, and competes in the Spanish league. The club spent more than forty seasons in La Liga and qualified for the UEFA Cup in 2008. It plays in green and white stripes. After financial collapse it fell to the third tier and climbed back with strong local support.
