Real Salt Lake is an American soccer club from the Salt Lake City area, founded on 14 July 2004 and playing in Major League Soccer since 2005. It plays at America First Field in Sandy, a ground of 20,213 places, and competes in the Western Conference. The club won MLS Cup in 2009 and reached the CONCACAF Champions League final in 2011. It plays in claret, cobalt and gold. Its name was taken from Real Madrid with that club's blessing.
