Sheffield United Football Club is an English club from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, founded on 22 March 1889 by the Sheffield United Cricket Club. It plays at Bramall Lane, a ground of about 32,000 places that has staged football since 1862 and is the oldest major stadium in the world still in use. The club won the First Division in 1898 and the FA Cup four times, the last in 1925, and has moved between the Premier League and the Championship in recent seasons. It plays in red and white stripes and is nicknamed the Blades after the city's cutlery trade. Its derby with Sheffield Wednesday is the Steel City derby.
