SC Farense is a Portuguese football club from Faro in the Algarve, founded in 1910. It plays at the Estádio de São Luís, a ground of 7,000 places, and competes in the Portuguese league. The club has had several spells in the Primeira Liga, the longest of them in the 1990s, when it qualified for the UEFA Cup. It plays in black and white and is nicknamed Os Leões de Faro, the Lions of Faro.
