Újpest FC is a Hungarian football club from the Újpest district of Budapest, founded on 16 June 1885 as a gymnastics society. It plays at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion, a ground of 12,670 places, and competes in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. The club has won twenty Hungarian championships and eleven cups, and reached the Fairs Cup final in 1969. It plays in lilac and white and is nicknamed Lilák, the Lilacs. Its rivalry with Ferencváros is the fiercest in Hungarian football.
