Go Ahead Eagles is a Dutch football club from Deventer in the province of Overijssel, founded on 2 December 1902. It plays at De Adelaarshorst, a ground of about 10,400 places and one of the oldest still in use in the Netherlands. The club won four national championships between 1917 and 1933 and took the KNVB Cup in 2025, its first major trophy in more than ninety years, which brought European football back to Deventer. It plays in red and yellow and is nicknamed the Pride of the IJssel. Its academy produced Marc Overmars and Bert van Marwijk among others.
