SD Eibar is a Spanish football club from Eibar in the Basque Country, founded on 30 November 1940. It plays at Ipurua, a ground of 8,164 places, and competes in the Spanish league. The club reached La Liga in 2014 and stayed seven seasons, from a town of some twenty-seven thousand, the smallest ever represented in the Spanish top flight. It plays in blue and maroon and is nicknamed Los Armeros, the Gunsmiths, after the town's arms industry.
