Urawa Red Diamonds are a Japanese football club from the Urawa ward of Saitama, founded in 1950 as the works team of Mitsubishi and a founder member of the J.League in 1993. They play at Saitama Stadium, a ground of 63,700 places, and compete in the J1 League. Urawa have won the AFC Champions League three times and the J1 title once. They play in red. Their crowds are the largest in Japanese football by a distance.
